We cannot wait to welcome you and your fellow Griffons at Griffon Edge.
Griffon Edge is your launch pad into life at 大象传媒. At Griffon Edge you will explore campus resources, learn how to be successful, and connect and create memories with your fellow Griffons.
What will I get out of Griffon Edge?
Connection to Campus:
Color Teams: Before Griffon Edge begins, all students will be assigned to one of 25+ color teams. You鈥檒l receive communication from us in August with your assigned color team. Each color team is led by 1-2 student leaders called Griffon Edge Mentors. Your Griffon Edge Mentor will be your 鈥済o-to鈥� person to answer questions and guide your way throughout Griffon Edge. Griffon Edge Mentors are a great resource to help you if you have questions throughout your first year on campus too.
Social Events: Making friends can be one of the most intimidating parts of starting college. Griffon Edge is here to help you make those connections before classes even begin. On top of the people you鈥檒l meet in your color team, we will offer nightly social events where you can connect with even more Griffons.
Prepare for Classes:
Schedule Crawl: Nervous about finding your classes? We provide a tour of your class schedule so there is no scrambling to find a classroom on your first day.
Resources: At Griffon Orientation we introduced you to campus resources. At Griffon Edge, you鈥檒l get in-depth knowledge from staff and faculty about how to succeed in the classroom, how to get involved, and how to survive your first year. All of our sessions will give you practical knowledge that will help you thrive in your first year.

From our Students:
Out of all the new things that came with going to college making friends was the one I was most nervous about. Years later and all of my closest friends were people I met at Griffon Edge. It was an amazing way to quickly become apart of the MWSU family.
I came to MWSU alone, I had no one from my high school with me. Because of #TeamScarlet I met my best friend. 3 years later we are inseparable! I had an amazing Griffon Edge experience and I want to make sure you have the same!
Going to MWSU, which was 7.5 hours from my family and friends, was a big change. At Griffon Edge I got to meet an amazing group of people. Some of those people I consider to be my closest friends. Griffon Edge helped me get over the drastic change and allow me to express myself while making new friends, I hope it does the same for all of you!
