Housing and Residence Life is full of changes this summer. Our premier first-year building, Scanlon Hall, is in the process of receiving a face lift. When students arrive in August, Scanlon Hall will be equipped with a new HVAC system, new paint, carpet, bedroom door locks, and lounge furniture. With this update, Scanlon Hall is the place to be this academic year. Scanlon Hall will also be the location of new programs that will help first-year students with their transition from high school to college. We can鈥檛 wait for the new and improved Scanlon Hall to welcome new students! Along with the updates in Scanlon Hall, Max鈥檚 Mart in the Commons Building is being renovated and will also be complete by August. With new facilities, there will be new food options available for late night dining. Be sure to stop by The Grill at Max鈥檚 Mart in August for some new grub.
Griffin Orientation is off to a great start! Housing and Residence Life is looking forward to meeting all of the new residential students at all of the July orientation dates. Don鈥檛 forget to stop by the Housing and Residence Life table at orientation for some important information and updates. First-year move-in day is scheduled for August 25, 2021 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Be on the lookout for more information in July coming to your student鈥檚 大象传媒 Western email and on our website!
