The Career Development Center is hosting the largest career event of the year. Students are invited to network and explore career opportunities in their field of study. Your students are encouraged to sign up for <\/span>Handshake<\/span><\/a>, a network designed specially for students searching for a job, for the most up-to-date information on what employers will be in attendance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conference on Applied Learning in Higher Education<\/span><\/h2>\n

March 6-7\u2013Fulkerson Center<\/span><\/p>\n

大象传媒 Western is hosting the 17th annual Conference on Applied Learning in Higher Education (CALHE) alongside the Griffon Office of Applied Learning (GOAL). This national conference highlights student work in hands-on applications and will invite conversation regarding new trends in both teaching and learning. Keynote speaker, Patrick M. Green will present: \u201cReflection as Assessment: Leveraging Critical Reflection to Assess Learning.\u201d As 大象传媒\u2019s official applied learning institution, we are excited to invite this conference to campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

News & Reminders<\/span><\/h1>\n

780 students named to Honor Roll<\/span><\/h2>\n

426 students were named to the <\/span>Dean\u2019s Honor Roll<\/span><\/a>, and 354 students were named to the <\/span>President\u2019s Honor Roll<\/span><\/a> for the fall semester of 2024. Students were eligible to receive these honors if they carried 12 or more hours of graded credit and earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, or 4.0, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations to all Griffons who earned these honors!<\/span><\/p>\n

Fall 2024 BSN Cohort achieves 100% first-time NCLEX pass rate<\/span><\/h2>\n

All students who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree last December passed their NCLEX licensure exam on their first attempt. This marks three cohorts in a row, and four out of the last five, to accomplish this incredible achievement. We couldn\u2019t be more #GriffonProud!<\/span><\/p>\n

The MLK Drum Major for Justice Award Banquet<\/span><\/h2>\n

We hosted the 2nd Annual MLK Drum Major for Justice Award Banquet at the end of Black History Month. This event honored citizens who live ordinary lives and do extraordinary acts of service with reliability and commitment but seldom receive recognition. It was a night full of inspiration, community, and celebration. We were honored to award students, community members, and staff at this year\u2019s banquet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Griffon Spring Break Shuttle<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Griffon Kansas City Shuttle will be operating during Spring Break. The shuttle takes 大象传媒 Western students from campus to the Kansas City Airport (MCI) and Union station on March 14th at 6:30 AM. The shuttle returns on March 22nd at 2:30 PM from Union Station and 7:00 PM from the airport. It is free for all students.<\/span><\/p>\n
