target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">大象传媒 Board of Governors<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represents the student body as a member of the University\u2019s Board of Governors. The student governor is entrusted with a great duty in representing the public interest through a student perspective. It is also a great opportunity to combine your life experiences, community background, and social action into effective educational leadership.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communication skills are vital. The student representative is expected to actively participate in meetings of the Board of Governors as well as other campus meetings, programs and events, and discuss issues with student groups. He or she must be well informed and have a clear understanding of 大象传媒, including its mission, structure and programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As defined in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/revisor.mo.gov\/main\/OneSection.aspx?section=174.055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">大象传媒 statute<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the student representative to the Board of Governors is an independent appointee of the Governor of the State of 大象传媒 subject to confirmation by the 大象传媒 Senate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The student representative must be:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a full-time student at 大象传媒 (12 hours per semester for undergraduate students, 8 hours per semester for graduate students)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">enrolled as a full-time student throughout appointment\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a citizen of the United States and a resident of the state of 大象传媒<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an active member of at least one student
