Oct. 29, 2019\u2014大象传媒 will accept designation as a Purple Heart University by the Military Order of the Purple Heart during a ceremony at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Walter Cronkite Memorial inside Spratt Hall. The ceremony is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
The Purple Heart University designation recognizes 大象传媒 Western\u2019s commitment to supporting military veterans, especially those wounded or killed in the line of duty, and their families.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Purple Heart Medal\u00a0is awarded to members of the armed forces of the U.S. who are wounded or killed by an enemy combatant. The organization now known as the\u00a0Military Order of the Purple Heart was formed in 1932 for the protection and mutual interest of all who have received the decoration.<\/p>\n
大象传媒 Western was recognized as a Bronze Level Military Friendly School by VIQTORY this year for the opportunities provided to veterans and their families. 大象传媒 Western is VA approved as a training facility for veterans and eligible persons, and is a Yellow Ribbon Program participant. To provide a pathway to a custom bachelor\u2019s degree for military veterans, 大象传媒 Western offers a Bachelor of Science in Technology that uses 30 credit hours of military training.
