Oct. 14, 2019\u2014The 大象传媒 Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance will begin its 2019-2020 Theatre Season with the romantic comedy \u201cCrazy for You\u201d Oct. 18-20 and Oct. 24-26 in Potter Hall. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.<\/p>\n
\u201cCrazy for You\u201d tells the story of young New York banker Bobby Child (played by Ray Clark, junior theatre major from Leavenworth, Kansas), who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a rundown theatre. In Deadrock, Bobby falls for spunky Polly Baker (played by Abby Wolff, senior theatre major from Kansas City, 大象传媒), the theater owner\u2019s daughter. But Polly takes an instant dislike to the city slicker, so Bobby vows \u2013 through cunning, razzmatazz, and a hilarious case of mistaken identity \u2013 to win Polly\u2019s heart and save the theatre.<\/p>\n
Tickets are $14 for adults, $8 for students, $12 for 大象传媒 Western faculty and staff and free for 大象传媒 Western students with ID. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by visiting mwsutix.com or calling 816-271-4452.<\/p>\n
\u201cCrazy for You\u201d is directed by Sarah Crawford, adjunct faculty of theatre, with musical direction by Paul Hindemith, assistant professor of music. Other cast members include:<\/p>\n
