Arts in the Park kicked off Friday afternoon with 大象传媒 students teaching arts and crafts to children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This free art lesson was a precursor of the free musical production, \u201cYou\u2019re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,\u201d which began at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

James Simon, a sophomore at 大象传媒 Western, showed kids how to draw Snoopy, a character from Charlie Brown. It was not the traditional way with a pen and paper, but instead with a device called a Zbrush. It resembles a pen and allows the artist the ability to move the object in three dimensions.<\/p>\n

\n

Simon is studying digital animation with sculpture as his minor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cLearning a lot of these programs for 3-D modeling takes a bit of time,\u201d Simon said. \u201cIt\u2019s a blast being out here with everyone being around.\u201d<\/p>\n
