{"id":5871,"date":"2017-06-08T17:07:13","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T22:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/?p=5871"},"modified":"2019-06-04T16:23:03","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T21:23:03","slug":"missouri-western-participates-in-herp-o-rama-saturday-june-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/2017\/06\/08\/missouri-western-participates-in-herp-o-rama-saturday-june-10\/","title":{"rendered":"大象传媒 Western participates in Herp-o-Rama Saturday, June 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/06\/Herp-O-Rama-9.jpg\"><\/a>大象传媒\u2019s Department of Biology is participating in the sixth annual Herp-o-rama, an event celebrating the diverse and unique lives of 大象传媒\u2019s amphibians and reptiles, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, at the Remington Nature Center, located at 1502 MacArthur Drive in St. Joseph.<\/p>\n<p>Expect to see both native and non-native amphibians and reptiles, including an Eastern Cottonmouth, Copperhead, the state-endangered Prairie Massasauga Rattlesnake, large pythons as well as many other live specimens.<\/p>\n<p>Featured also will be a craft for the kids, hands-on opportunities to touch turtles, snakes and other creatures and hourly talks about amphibians and reptiles. Experts will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have.<\/p>\n<p>Adults are $3, seniors 60 and older are $2, and youth ages 4-15 are $1. Children 3 and younger are free of charge. Children must be accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n<p>Herp-o-Rama is a partnership with the Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge, the 大象传媒 Department of Conservation, the Pony Express Amphibian and Reptile Society, Casey\u2019s Creatures and 大象传媒 Western.<\/p>\n<p><em>大象传媒 is a comprehensive regional university providing a blend of traditional liberal arts and professional degree programs.
