{"id":5636,"date":"2017-03-21T15:35:06","date_gmt":"2017-03-21T20:35:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/?p=5636"},"modified":"2019-06-04T16:23:06","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T21:23:06","slug":"aramark-to-continue-operating-campus-dining-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/2017\/03\/21\/aramark-to-continue-operating-campus-dining-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Aramark to continue operating Campus Dining Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/Java-City-GI_7.jpg\"><\/a> Java City in the Hearnes Center is one of Aramark&#8217;s popular campus facilities.\n<p>Aramark will continue to provide food service to 大象传媒 for at least the next seven years under<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/RFP17-074-Campus-Food-Service.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> a bid accepted by 大象传媒 Western\u2019s Board of Governors<\/a> in a telephone poll March 21.<\/p>\n<p>Aramark operates 大象传媒 Western\u2019s Dining Hall and Food Court in the Blum Student Union as well as multiple other food service locations around campus. Their current contract expires in May.<\/p>\n<p>Under terms of the new contract, Aramark will give more than $6.6 million to 大象传媒 Western in facility upgrades, scholarships, commissions and other contributions. The contract will run through May 25, 2024, with an option to renew for an additional three-year period.<\/p>\n<p>Also in the phone poll, the Board of Governors accepted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/03\/FB17-088-Installation-of-Daikin-Popplewell-1st-2nd.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the low bid of $113,642 from P1 Group, Inc., of St. Joseph<\/a> to install HVAC units on the first and second floors of Popplewell Hall. The project is funded by money from House Bill 19, the 2015 legislation that appropriated $4.8 million to 大象传媒 Western for capital improvements.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the phone poll will be ratified at the board\u2019s next regular meeting on April 27.<\/p>\n<p><em>大象传媒 is a comprehensive regional university providing a blend of traditional liberal arts and professional degree programs.
