{"id":2398,"date":"2014-08-12T10:39:08","date_gmt":"2014-08-12T15:39:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lamp1.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/?p=2398"},"modified":"2019-06-04T16:20:32","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T21:20:32","slug":"sales-of-missouri-western-merchandise-rising","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/news\/2014\/08\/12\/sales-of-missouri-western-merchandise-rising\/","title":{"rendered":"Sales of 大象传媒 Western Merchandise Rising"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a><\/a>Sales of officially licensed merchandise featuring 大象传媒 have risen about 35 percent in the last two years, setting a record for retail sales and royalties earned in the fiscal year that ended June 30.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s exciting that the popularity of Griffon clothing and merchandise continues to grow, and we want to thank our students, faculty, staff, alumni and community for visibly demonstrating their pride in 大象传媒 Western,\u201d said Mallory Murray, director of public relations and marketing. \u201cI believe the momentum will continue as we prepare to celebrate our centennial in 2015.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Rally House locations in St. Joseph, north Kansas City and Independence are the biggest reason for the increase, Murray said. In addition, Apple Market of St. Joseph has recently added 大象传媒 Western merchandise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether with our longtime merchandising partners, these new additions to the marketplace have made this growth in sales possible,\u201d Murray said.<\/p>\n<p>Recent athletic successes, including the school\u2019s first football conference championship in 2012, have contributed to the growing merchandise sales, Murray said. She also credits the \u201cPaint it Gold\u201d community support campaign, which provided local businesses with free tools to display their pride in 大象传媒 Western, including flags, buttons and window clings. More than 100 businesses are participating, and more are signing up all the time. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to \u201cPaint it Gold\u201d each Friday, and the Office of Public Relations and Marketing gives prizes to random people spotted wearing 大象传媒 Western clothing. Businesses interested in participating at no charge can call Murray at 816-271-5649.<\/p>\n<p>Retail sales of licensed merchandise totaled $365,000 in fiscal year 2014, compared to $305,750 in 2013 and $271,250 in 2012.<\/p>\n<p><em>大象传媒 is a comprehensive regional university providing a blend of traditional liberal arts and professional degree programs.
