Nov. 6, 2024\u2013大象传媒 Western will host its 5th annual communications career night, cosponsored by the Career Development Center and the Department of Communication, on Wednesday Nov. 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Blum Union room 218\/219.<\/span><\/p>\n

This fair is free and open to all students and 大象传媒 Western alumni who wish to work within the fields of communication, public relations, media and journalism.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students are encouraged to come dressed wearing interview-appropriate clothing (business casual) and expect to meet with potential employers. The Career Development Center in Blum Union 210 has a Career Closet that provides students with free professional attire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attendees are also recommended to bring several copies of their current resume, a pen and a professional pad-folio or plain folder. Visit the Career Development Center for help creating a resume and for resume review or printing on resume paper.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students are welcome to drop by the Career Development Center without an appointment. If staff are unavailable, they can help make an appointment. To make an appointment to prepare for the fair or an interview, schedule an appointment using Handshake, by dropping by the Career Development Center in Blum Union 210 or by calling (816) 271-4206.<\/span><\/p>\n
