May 16, 2023–A former 大象传媒 fundraising administrator is returning to the University as senior philanthropy advisor in the Division of Advancement. Jerry Pickman, currently vice president of philanthropy operations at Mosaic Life Care Foundation, will begin his new role at 大象传媒 Western July 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m thrilled to welcome Jerry back to 大象传媒 Western,\u201d said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, 大象传媒 Western\u2019s president. \u201cHis extensive fundraising experience, familiarity with the University and its donor base, and knowledge of our community make him ideally suited for this important new role. He will be an excellent addition to our 大象传媒 Western Advancement team.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cJerry\u2019s passion for 大象传媒 Western and his commitment to the University\u2019s success will be invaluable as he engages key prospective donors and secures their financial support,\u201d said Marc Archambault, vice president for advancement and executive director of the 大象传媒 Foundation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI have been blessed to have had the opportunity to work for two amazing and\u00a0<\/span>critical institutions in our community,\u201d\u00a0 Pickman said. \u201cReturning to 大象传媒 Western is a\u00a0<\/span>homecoming of sorts for me. My goal is to help ensure the University has the\u00a0<\/span>resources it needs to fulfill its mission now and in the future.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Pickman has been at Mosaic since 2019. Prior to that, he worked at 大象传媒 Western for 15 years, starting as director of development in 2004 and leaving as vice president for university advancement and executive director of the MWSU Foundation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pickman graduated from 大象传媒 Western in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He also earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from Benedictine College. He received a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the Lilly School of Philanthropy (formerly The Fundraising School) in 2006 and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). He received designation as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP\u00ae) in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
