Jan. 23, 2025–大象传媒 Western鈥檚 Center for Service will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the fourth annual What Are You Doing for Others Day of Service from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 from at the Houlne Center for Convergent Technology.
Three shifts of students, faculty and staff will participate in the first ever Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed building project for area children. Volunteers will take raw lumber and some easy-to-use tools to build handmade bunk beds.
鈥淭his project will ensure that no child will sleep on the floor in our town,鈥� said Kim Sigrist, executive director of the Center for Service.聽
