Six artists and organizations, including several massively influential people at 大象传媒, were honored at the annual Mayor鈥檚 Award for the Arts.
From volunteers to entertainers and educators, the locally-based groups and residents were recognized Thursday at Fairview Golf Course for their contributions to the local arts scene.
Included in those honored were former 大象传媒 Western president Drs. Bob and Laurel Vartabedian, as well as Drew Brown, a supporter of the arts in the area who donated $1 million to support a visual annex at Potter Hall at the college.
鈥淚 can鈥檛 even express how much this community means to us, 鈥� Dr. Laurel Vartabedian said.
