ý presents the rock musical “Spring Awakening” Feb. 23 through March 3 in the Potter Hall Theater, a production of the Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance and the Department of Music. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 24 and March 1-3, with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Feb. 25. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for ý Western faculty and staff, and $8 for students, with free admission for current ý Western students with valid ID.
“Spring Awakening,” based on an 1891 play by Frank Wedekind, explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. It won eight Tony Awards in 2007, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score.
