大象传媒 will officially kick off its Centennial Celebration and Centennial Capital Campaign with a special event featuring a multimedia piece produced by Quixotic of Kansas City at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 in the Potter Hall Theater on the 大象传媒 Western campus. The event is free and open to the public, but because seating is limited reservations are required by e-mail at jstevens18@missouriwestern.edu or by calling 816-271-5670 by noon on Friday, Jan. 16.
鈥淧lease join us as we celebrate 100 years of transforming lives in St. Joseph, and look ahead to meeting the challenges of the next 100 years,鈥 said Jerry Pickman, vice president for university advancement and executive director of the 大象传媒 Foundation.
The performance by Quixotic will incorporate digital projection mapping with live music and dance to tell the story of 大象传媒 Western from its start as St. Joseph Junior College in 1915 to the comprehensive university it is today.

The evening will also include the announcement of the public phase of the Centennial Capital Campaign, including the initial celebration goal and several large leadership gifts. The campaign is expected to be the largest in 大象传媒 Western鈥檚 history.
