You can receive credit for what you already know by earning a qualifying score on a CLEP<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. More than 2,900 colleges and universities in the United States will recognize your comprehensive subject knowledge acquired through independent or prior study, cultural pursuits, special interests, internships, or professional development.<\/p>\n<p><b>Timing: <\/b> CLEP<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> exams are 90 minutes long and consist of multiple-choice questions. The exception is College Composition, which includes an essay takes a little over 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p><b>Scores:<\/b> CLEP<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> exam scores (except those with essay) are available immediately upon completion of the exam. An official transcript will be sent to the school of your choice. You should indicate this when you purchase your exam through College Board.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals who wish to receive college credit may register to take one or more CLEP<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> exams. Since credit-granting policies vary at each college, contact your institution&#8217;s testing coordinator or admissions officer regarding the specific CLEP<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> examinations accepted for credit towards your degree.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"line-height: 1.4\" data-fontsize=\"28\" data-lineheight=\"39.2px\">The University Testing Center is staffed part-time, so it is important to be sure we can accommodate a time for you. <b>PLEASE make sure to schedule an appointment <u>before registering and paying for your exam and sitting fee. <\/u>Schedule your appointment by emailing <a href=\"testing@missouriwestern.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">testing@missouriwestern.edu<\/a><\/b><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Re<\/strong><strong>gistration and Fees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>$127.00 (or $137.00) fee to be made in two separate payments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CLEP<\/strong> (College Board) receives <strong>$97,<\/strong> register and pay online by clicking on the CLEP website button below.<\/li>\n<li><strong>MWSU <\/strong>receives <strong>$30<\/strong> (for currently enrolled MWSU students) or <strong>$40 <\/strong>(for non MWSU students), register and pay by clicking on the CLEP Registration Form button below. <b>Please have a credit card ready<\/b> when you go through the registration form. You will be directed to the payment portal when the registration is complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"line-height: 1.4\" data-fontsize=\"28\" data-lineheight=\"39.2px\"><b>Please bring your payment receipt (From MWSU) and your Registration with the Ticket number from College Board on the day of your exam<\/b>.<\/h1>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"transform:translate3d(0,0,0);\"><p><strong>Fee Waivers:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Members of the military may receive a proctoring fee waiver from 大象传媒 Western for CLEP\u00ae testing. Please bring your military ID on the day of your exam for verification purposes and to receive the waiver. (Save $30-40 per exam.)<\/p>\n<p>Members of the military may also be able to receive funding through DANTES (Defense Activity for Non Traditional Education Support) that can cover the exam fees for CLEP\u00ae testing.
