CLEP\u00ae<\/sup><\/b> is a national program of credit by examination that allows you to obtain recognition for college-level achievement. You can receive credit for what you already know by earning a qualifying score on a CLEP\u00ae<\/sup>. More than 2,900 colleges and universities in the United States will recognize your comprehensive subject knowledge acquired through independent or prior study, cultural pursuits, special interests, internships, or professional development.<\/p>\n Timing: <\/b> CLEP\u00ae<\/sup> exams are 90 minutes long and consist of multiple-choice questions. The exception is College Composition, which includes an essay takes a little over 2 hours.<\/p>\n Scores:<\/b> CLEP\u00ae<\/sup> exam scores (except those with essay) are available immediately upon completion of the exam. An official transcript will be sent to the school of your choice. You should indicate this when you purchase your exam through College Board.<\/p>\n Individuals who wish to receive college credit may register to take one or more CLEP\u00ae<\/sup> exams. Since credit-granting policies vary at each college, contact your institution’s testing coordinator or admissions officer regarding the specific CLEP\u00ae<\/sup> examinations accepted for credit towards your degree.<\/p>\n Re<\/strong>gistration and Fees:<\/strong><\/p>\n $127.00 (or $137.00) fee to be made in two separate payments.<\/p>\n Fee Waivers: Members of the military may also be able to receive funding through DANTES (Defense Activity for Non Traditional Education Support) that can cover the exam fees for CLEP\u00ae testing. Eligible military personnel could potentially save hundreds or even thousands of dollars toward their bachelor\u2019s degrees with DANTES benefits.
