1980s
\n<\/strong>David Slater \u201982 <\/strong>received an award for outstanding service from the 大象传媒 Municipal League. He is currently serving his sixth two-year term as mayor of Pleasant Valley, 大象传媒. He is also serving his fourth one-year term as chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus, representing 84 communities in Jackson, Clay, Platte and Cass counties. He is past president of the 大象传媒 Western Alumni Association and continues to serve on the board.<\/p>\n

1990s
\n<\/strong>Sherry Heckman \u201993<\/strong>, fourth-grade teacher at North Andrew School District (Rosendale, 大象传媒), was nominated for Regional Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching for 24 years, including special education in the Polo (大象传媒) School District and North Andrew before teaching fourth-grade. She earned a master\u2019s in education from Northwest 大象传媒 State University.<\/p>\n

Jim \u201995 <\/strong>and Lora (Van Emmerik) \u201995 Tenpenny<\/strong>: Jim works for the U.S. Army Inspector General at the Pentagon and was recently selected for promotion to Colonel. Lora was hired by the Federal Investigative Services in Arlington, Virginia.<\/p>\n

Mary Elizabeth Schmitz \u201999 <\/strong>and Jeffrey Alan Porter were married April 16, 2016 in Kansas City, 大象传媒. Mary Elizabeth earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of 大象传媒-Kansas City and is a clinical pharmacist manager at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, 大象传媒.<\/p>\n

Greg Gildersleeve \u201993 <\/strong>was recently the subject of a feature article on the Grantham Blog. Gildersleeve is a member of the English faculty at Grantham University and the author of two books.<\/p>\n

2000s
\n<\/strong>Nicole (Lindsey) Collier \u201903 <\/strong>is the assistant women\u2019s basketball coach at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.<\/p>\n

LaShaundra Randolph \u201903 <\/strong>is the project coordinator in the Campus Life and Leadership Office at Metropolitan Community College \u2013 Penn Valley. She will focus on campus-wide retention initiatives and co-advise the Student Government Association. (Her supervisor is fellow Griffon, Shelby Coxon \u201999!)<\/p>\n

Angela (Till) Hinojosa \u201905<\/strong> began working at Children\u2019s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, 大象传媒. She graduated with an associate of applied science degree in health information technology. \u201cI just want to thank my instructors, especially my advisor, Marsha Dolan, during my time at MWSU. They not only gave me the education that I needed to graduate, but life lessons that gave me the tools to be successful.\u201d PHOTO<\/p>\n

Lindsey Stubbs \u201914 <\/strong>and Jake Edwards \u201915 <\/strong>were married Sept. 17, 2016. The two had met when they were both student workers in the Office of Admissions. The couple resides in Parkville, 大象传媒.<\/p>\n

Cagney McDonald \u201915<\/strong> was hired as an audit associate with Anders CPAs + Advisors, a company that provides full-service accounting, tax and audit services.<\/p>\n

Taylor Bryant \u201916 <\/strong>and Heaven Stewart were married Aug. 27, 2016. Heaven is a 大象传媒 Western student. Taylor\u2019s parents, Jim \u201907 and Elaine \u201904 Bryant; and Heaven\u2019s parents, Corey and Stephanie \u201997 Stewart; all are 大象传媒 Western employees.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
