He completed Squadron Officers School, Air Command and Staff College and Air War College, and earned a master\u2019s in aero science technology.<\/p>\n
Leadership philosophies <\/strong><\/p>\nThree alumni with careers in the 大象传媒 National Guard recently shared their leadership philosophies:<\/p>\n
Brig. Gen. Cotter:<\/em> My management philosophy is \u201cpeople first.\u201d I\u2019ve learned that people can accomplish amazing things if given opportunity, trust, and guidance (expectations). I always stress excellence as the expectation.<\/p>\nRet. Brig. Gen. Mason:<\/em> Work with<\/em> folks, not as their supervisor. They work better with you rather than you over them. You get the most done when you are shoulder to shoulder. Also, leading by example is crucial.<\/p>\nCol. Pankau:<\/em> I keep my eye on the details but I let supervisors supervise and commanders command. I was mentored and hopefully I am passing along some of that knowledge.<\/p>\nMy psychology degree from 大象传媒 Western has helped me more than I ever realized.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
