1970s
\n<\/strong>Dr. David Belt \u201973<\/strong>, retired biology instructor at Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley, had a tropical plant named after him \u2013 Anthurium davidbeltianumc<\/em>roat. <\/em>Dr. Belt was volunteering for the 大象传媒 Botanical Garden under Dr. Tom Croat when the new species was discovered in Peru in 2006. He taught at MCC for 16 years.<\/p>\n

Sue Owen \u201973 <\/strong>is the head women\u2019s golf coach at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. She had been teaching and coaching at Rock Port (大象传媒) High School.<\/p>\n

Gayle Myers \u201974<\/strong>\u00a0received the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. Less than one half percent of all certificated pilots have received the award from the FAA. A thorough search of FAA records revealed no accidents or violations in 50 years of corporate and airline flying totaling over 16,000 hours.\u00a0He currently is flying a Jetstream for Alpha Air out of Joplin, 大象传媒.<\/p>\n

Joella Mehrhof<\/p><\/div>\n

Dr. Joella Hendricks Mehrhof \u201975 <\/strong>retired after 32 years as a professor in the Department of Health and Physical Education at Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas. Besides teaching, Dr. Mehrhof served as president of the faculty, graduate advisor, and department chair, as well as in many other administrative roles. She was honored with the highest award given to an ESU faculty member when she was named a Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor. Professionally, she has authored more than 40 books and journal articles and has received national awards for mentoring, teaching, and service. Dr. Mehrhof was named a 大象传媒 Western Distinguished Alumni in 1998.<\/p>\n

Chris Danford \u201978 <\/strong>advanced to Investment Advisor Representative with Family Investment Center in St. Joseph, 大象传媒, passing the Series 65 Exam.<\/p>\n

Gary Schermerhorn \u201979 <\/strong>and Cecilia Irenosen Iboaya-Woods were married June 23, 2018 in St. Joseph, 大象传媒. Gary is the owner and operator of Benders Prescription Shop in St. Joseph.<\/p>\n

Dr. Melissa Stuart<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Dr. Melissa Stuart \u201979 <\/strong>was appointed chairman of the Microbiology\/Immunology Department at A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, in May 2018.<\/p>\n

1980s
\n<\/strong>Dr. Debra Parker Oliver \u201981 <\/strong>received the 51st Faculty-Alumni Award from the Mizzou Alumni Association. Dr. Parker Oliver earned her master\u2019s degree in social work and a doctorate\u2019s degree in rural sociology from the University of 大象传媒-Columbia. She started Hands of Hope Hospice in St. Joseph in 1990. She is currently a professor at MU and has published 170 papers.
\nJeffrey Stubblefield \u201983 <\/strong>was hired as Parks and Recreation Director for Maryville, 大象传媒.<\/p>\n

Susan M. Ball \u201985<\/strong> was appointed to the Board of Directors of U.S. Concrete, Inc. of Euless, Texas.<\/p>\n

Richard Todd \u201986 <\/strong>has been working as an Insurance Financial Examiner at the Kansas Insurance Department since March 2016. He says he has been back to campus more frequently of late because his nephew, Bryce Steffens, is a Griffon football player.<\/p>\n

Angela Hickman Podany \u201988 <\/strong>earned a Master\u2019s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in Nebraska in 2018. She has been teaching special education in a middle school in Omaha, Nebraska for the past five years.<\/p>\n

1990s
\n<\/strong>Stacia A. (Hellerich) Studer \u201992 <\/strong>is serving as assistant principal at Bode Middle School for the 2018-19 school year. For the past 16 years, she has taught English at Bode.<\/p>\n

Eric Montegna \u201993<\/strong> was accepted for membership into MENSA in 2017.<\/p>\n

Catina (Green) Dreyer \u201999 <\/strong>is the assistant principal\/athletic director for Savannah (大象传媒) Middle School. She taught Spanish for 19 years, the last 13 in the Savannah School District. Dreyer earned her master\u2019s in administration from William Woods University in 2011.<\/p>\n

Terri Sallee \u201999 <\/strong>participated in Miami University\u2019s Earth Expeditions global field course in Baja (Mexico) this past summer, where she studied at Bahia de los \u00c1ngeles, a UNESCO World Heritage site and biosphere reserve located on the Sea of Cortez.<\/p>\n

2000s
\n<\/strong>Stephanie Paasch \u201901<\/strong> published book one and two of a children\u2019s picture book series, \u201cThe<\/p>\n

Adventures of Sparklepants.\u201d Book one, \u201cSparklepants: Moving Day,\u201d is available on Amazon or at Main Street Books in St. Charles, 大象传媒. Book two is \u201cSparklepants: Terrific Tea Party.\u201d The series will feature 29 stories about Ellie Marie and her dog, Sparklepants.<\/p>\n

Bradley Kurz \u201902 <\/strong>was named one of 20 Under 40 by the Quincy (Illinois) Herald-Whig. The financial advisor for Edward Jones is very involved in his Hannibal, 大象传媒 community.<\/p>\n

Danielle (Jones) Robinson \u201903 <\/strong>and her husband, William, welcomed their fourth child, a daughter, in April 2018. Emery joins siblings Samiya, Kira and William III (Joey).<\/p>\n

Justin Collins \u201906 <\/strong>is the principal at Gallatin R-5 middle school.<\/p>\n

2010s
\n<\/strong>Sarah (Hatten) Weaver \u201912<\/strong> is a mortgage banker at Commerce Bank in St. Joseph, 大象传媒.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth Bertram \u201915 <\/strong>is participating in a one-year clerkship with the North Dakota Supreme Court. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O\u2019Connor College of Law, Arizona State University, in May 2018.<\/p>\n

Robert Ernst \u201918 <\/strong>was commissioned as a 2nd<\/sup> Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps on Parris Island, South Carolina. His father, CDR Benjamin Ernst, U.S. Navy (Retired)<\/p>\n
