Show your Griffon pride!<\/li>\n<li>The 10th annual 大象传媒 Western Celebrity Golf Classic will be held June 4 at St. Joseph Country Club. This annual event benefits the YWCA shelter for abused and homeless women and children and 大象传媒 Western athletics. The Hy-Vee Charity Social will be held the night before at the Culver Farm. This year\u2019s schedule includes six home dates. Spratt Memorial Stadium will be the place to be this fall as the Griffons return 17 starters and have 26 seniors back from last year\u2019s team who went 9-3 and the qualified for the NCAA Division II playoffs for the second consecutive season. Season tickets are on sale now and single game tickets will go on sale in July.<\/li>\n<li>Doug Minnis, 大象传媒 Western\u2019s longtime baseball coach, took his place in the 2011 大象传媒 Sports Hall of Fame last fall. Doug was one of eight inductees. He started 大象传媒 Western\u2019s baseball program in 1969, and won 682 games in his 30 years as coach.
