Basketball recap
\n<\/b>Men\u2019s basketball completed the season with a 71-58 win over Southwest Baptist University. The win wrapped up the team\u2019s regular season with a 12-14 overall record and an 8-11 mark in MIAA play. The men played in the first round of the MIAA tournament as the No.10 seed. The Griffon men are coached by Brett Weiberg.<\/p>\n
The Griffon women secured a home game in the opening round of the MIAA tournament with a 78-65 win over Southwest Baptist University. The team finished the regular season with a 14-11 overall record and a 9-10 mark in MIAA play. They won their first MIAA tournament game against Lincoln University 80-56 in the fieldhouse and advanced to Kansas City to take on second-seeded Emporia State University. The women are coached by Rob Edmisson. <\/b><\/p>\n
Softball and baseball<\/b><\/p>\n
At the end of March, the softball team, coached by Jen Bagley, was ranked No. 17 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll after winning its last 12 games. It was the first time in the season the team has appeared in the top 25 poll. The team\u2019s record was 21-9 at the time.<\/p>\n
