First-year head coach Yuriy Litvinski kept his eyes toward the future in building the 2018 cross country squads. Flooded with underclassmen, Litvinski shuffled rotations and pushed the young Griffons to new heights.
After opening the season by winning the both the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 portions of the inaugural Griffon Open on the 大象传媒 Western cross country course, both teams showed improvements at event after event. Nearly every member of the women鈥檚 team churned out personal bests or team-best averages at each event, while Litvinski worked to strengthen the men鈥檚 squad that was often hampered by injuries. The women鈥檚 team finished the season with an eighth place finish at the MIAA Championships while the men鈥檚 team finished 11th.
