We are very encouraged that the number of cases on campus remains low. Thank you for all that you have done to help contain the pandemic. Also encouraging is the moderate level of community transmission and the recent drop in hospitalizations locally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">While these are encouraging signs, we are concerned about the vaccination rates: 大象传媒 has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country, and Buchanan County\u2019s rate is below 大象传媒\u2019s. As a reminder, today is the day all 大象传媒ans over the age of 16 became eligible for the vaccine. If you haven\u2019t already scheduled your appointment to be vaccinated, we encourage you to do so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">After weighing this data, and considering recommendations of the CDC and other health officials, we are making the following adjustments to our safety <span class=\"term-highlighted\">protocols<\/span> for the rest of the spring semester.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Events<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">All campus departments and groups wanting to hold an event must use the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nextgensso2.com\/sp\/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId=https:\/\/idp.missouriwestern.edu\/idp\/shibboleth&amp;SpSessionAuthnAdapterId=missouriwesternDF&amp;TargetResource=https%3a%2f%2fdynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com%2fSubmit%2fStart%2f0256dd6f-19b5-4cc6-82f2-5582f55197b4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/nextgensso2.com\/sp\/startSSO.ping?PartnerIdpId%3Dhttps:\/\/idp.missouriwestern.edu\/idp\/shibboleth%26SpSessionAuthnAdapterId%3DmissouriwesternDF%26TargetResource%3Dhttps%253a%252f%252fdynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com%252fSubmit%252fStart%252f0256dd6f-19b5-4cc6-82f2-5582f55197b4&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1618098523899000&amp;usg=AFQjCNH0Lku14R8E0uPiOQOUYaxKOGzxuQ\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Event Approval Form<\/span><\/a><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">All events, <\/span><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">whether indoors or outdoors<\/span><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">, must be scheduled in a reservable space.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Indoor events<\/span><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">: we will continue to enforce <span class=\"term-highlighted\">COVID<\/span> capacities in indoor spaces. The only food allowed at indoor events will be prepackaged, grab-and-go snacks.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Outdoor events<\/span><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">: Food (snacks and meals) are permitted.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Campus visitors<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Campus groups can bring in visitors, and external groups can reserve 大象传媒 Western spaces, as long as <span class=\"term-highlighted\">COVID<\/span> <span class=\"term-highlighted\">protocols<\/span> are followed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Students living in the residence halls will continue to be prohibited from having day or overnight visitors from outside the campus community in their rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Travel<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span data-removefontsize=\"true\" data-originalcomputedfontsize=\"16\">Student groups are now allowed to travel to off-campus meetings or events as long as <span class=\"term-highlighted\">COVID<\/span> <span class=\"term-highlighted\">protocols<\/span> are followed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All other <span class=\"term-highlighted\">protocols<\/span>, including our face covering and physical distancing requirements, will remain in place through at least the end of the spring semester.
