As announced on Friday, we are joining widespread efforts to protect our employees against the spread of the COVID-19 virus by reducing the number of employees who are physically on campus through a combination of limiting on-campus operations, remote working, relaxed paid leave opportunities and the like. By now, all staff should have had a conversation with their supervisor about their on-campus presence. If you have not, please speak with your supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>As the current situation continues to evolve and we receive direction from local and state officials, we will continue to proactively take measures to protect our campus community while sustaining our important mission. \u00a0Our campus and operations are exempt from the new Stay At Home order issued by the City starting on Tuesday because educational institutions are deemed \u201cessential\u201d to community operations.\u00a0 However,\u00a0in the spirit of the order,\u00a0we have decided to take additional measures with respect to our campus. Please note the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All campus buildings\u00a0will be closed to the public and all except for the Blum Union\u00a0will be locked\u00a0starting tomorrow (March 24<sup>th<\/sup>).\u00a0 We have also been notified that Barnes &amp; Noble\u00a0will be closing until April 2nd.<\/li>\n<li>For\u00a0those remaining in our residence\u00a0halls, the\u00a0cafeteria will continue to provide take-out service.<\/li>\n<li>Campus buildings\u00a0that will be locked include\u00a0the Library<strong>\/<\/strong>Hearnes Center, Potter Hall, Popplewell Hall, Eder Hall, Murphy Hall, Spratt Hall, Fulkerson Center, Remington Hall, Agenstein Hall, and Wilson Hall as well as the \u00a0Looney Complex, Baker Family Fitness Center,\u00a0and\u00a0Griffon\u00a0Indoor Sports Complex.\u00a0<em>Only employees working in\u00a0these buildings\u00a0will have key access<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Naturally, the semester will continue in the alternative forms announced last week.\u00a0 University services to students will continue through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.missouriwestern.edu\/advising\/\">Advising<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/finaid\/\">Office of Financial Aid<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-services\/career-development\/\">Career Development<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/registrar\/\">Office of Registrar<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/businessoffice\/\">Business Office<\/a>,\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-services\/counseling\/\">Counseling Center<\/a>\u00a0among others.\u00a0Although we are sending this information to students, please feel free to direct them to these departments accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns about anything, please do not hesitate to speak with your supervisor.\u00a0 As you know, there is no one-size-fits-all solution in these extraordinary times as we look to bring the spring semester to a successful conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you again for being a Griff and working through this time with us.\u00a0 Together we succeed!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>大象传媒 Western takes the health, welfare, and safety of our community very seriously.
