2021-2022 Virtual Senior Art Exhibition<\/header>

The Department of Art at 大象传媒 presents its 2021 Senior Art Exhibition online.<\/p>

Graduating seniors usually exhibit their work in the Potter Art Gallery in past semesters to showcase the students\u2019 work and artistic accomplishments. While COVID-19 safety measures remain persistent on campus, the 2021-2022 virtual art exhibit proudly presents 38 artists who are graduating in 2021-2022. Like many museums around the world in response to social-distancing guidelines, the virtual Senior Art Exhibition will remain active for the duration of a year. Visitors will see the students\u2019 artwork and learn more about the artists at:\u00a0https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/art\/gallery\/senior-art-exhibition-2021-2022\/<\/a><\/p>

Participating students are Michelle Aaronson, Montana Baker, Janelle Baldi, Christian Ba\u00f1ez, Sierra Bax, Mikayla Bertels, Allison Brown, Betty Brown, Adriana Budine, Sam Cherry, Jamie Christmas, Cole Clement, Jade Cope, Sammy Duong, Shelby Ebling, Adam Gomez, Jonathan Greene, Brianna Gregg, Bobbie Griffin, Jaci Guthrie, Austin Holmes, Adam Le, Maria Mills, Molly Nashan, Atasha Owens, Cody Owens, McCurry Rader, Antanette Ray, Jocelyn Sands, Christina Scott, Rebecca Soldanels, Calvin Tabor, Mattison Thomas, Leslie Vitosh, Courtney Warner, Stephanie Wright, Hannah Yantz, and Emily Walkup.<\/p>

The Robert A.\u00a0Vartabedian President's Outstanding Leader Award<\/header>

Jocelyn Sands, President of the MWSU AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Student Design Group, was awarded \"The Robert A.\u00a0Vartabedian President's Outstanding Leader Award\"\u00a0for her work in leading the organization through fundraisers, events and service projects in 2019-2020. This award\u00a0recognizes an outstanding individual who advanced the mission of their student organization whole, challenged and encouraged the membership to advance new initiatives, acquire new skills, and prepared the group for leadership transition and ongoing success. The award recipient must display a commitment to leadership development, membership engagement, innovation, and cross-campus collaboration.<\/p><\/section><\/a> <\/article>

2020 Best New Student Organization<\/header>

The MWSU AIGA Student Design Group was awarded the \"2020 Best New Student Organization\" by the Division of Students Affairs for their service to the University and the community.\u00a0\u00a0The organization held fundraisers, social events, and two service projects throughout the 2019-2020 school year. They also created a mural that depicts the histories of St. Joseph and 大象传媒 in Blum Student Union. Not being deterred by the pandemic in 2020, the group illustrated and delivered handmade coloring books, crayons, and Christmas treats to the children of the Noyes Home in St. Joseph.<\/p><\/div>
