The library in the Hearnes Center has created a display of John E. Downs ’35 that will run through the end of the spring semester.

Downs, who was a state Senator, played an integral role in moving 大象传媒 Western to its present location and establishing the four-year college. Downs Drive, the circular drive around the campus, was named in his honor.

The exhibit explores Downs’ life, including his military service, political career, civic awards, and contributions to 大象传媒 Western. He passed away in 2003.
