Rogers State edges Griffon soccer in overtime Fans had to wait a while for the final goal.\u00a0Claire Meyers<\/a>\u00a0gave MWSU a 1-0 lead in the 13th<\/sup>\u00a0minute, beating a Rogers State defender, dribbling into the box and blasting a shot into the upper left corner of the net after passes from\u00a0Lillian Davis<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Mackenzie O’Neill<\/a>. Rogers State, from Claremore, Oklahoma, got the equalizer one minute later on a penalty kick, just getting the PK past a diving Mayer’s finger tips.<\/p>\n 大象传媒 Western will play its next three games on the road, the final away games of the regular season. \n<\/strong>Griffon volleyball (11-7, 5-5) bounced back with a sweep at Newman (0-20, 0-11) Oct. 19.<\/p>\n
\nGriffon football (5-2) survived a late Central Oklahoma (2-5) rally to win its eighth straight game away from home and move to 5-2 for the first time since 2014. Twenty-six fourth quarter points by UCO weren’t enough to overcome the Griffons, who won 50-43.<\/p>\n
