It was a full day for alumni and friends today. We started by touring the remains of Caesarea \u2013 the \u201cCrusader City\u201d and also the site of Herod the Great\u2019s Palace. We then went to Mount Carmel where the Prophet Elijah debated the 450 Prophets of Baal. It was then in to Tel-Megiddo \u2013 or Armageddon \u2013 to visit the excavated remains of that Biblical city. We ended our day touring the model of first-century village in Nazareth.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow, we will drive north through the Golan Heights to Caesarea Phillipi and the Banias, one of the water resources of the Jordan River.<\/p>\n

Then we continue on to Tel Dan for a visit to the archeological finds and beautiful nature preserve. We will then head back to the Sea of Galilee to visit Capernaum, the \u201cTown of Jesus,\u201d walk along the ruins of the Bibilical Village, and see the Synagogue where Jesus preached and the house of the Peter\u2019s mother-in-law.<\/p>\n

We then drive up to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We will also stop at Corazin for a quick visit and have the famous St. Peter\u2019s fish for lunch in a restaurant on the lake shore. Our day will end with a visit to a 2,000 year old fisherman boat \u2013 the Jesus Boat \u2013 and sail the boat across the Sea of Galilee.<\/p>\n
