At the 20th annual Golden Griffon Awards presented by News-Press NOW, Griffon men’s golfer Patrick McCarthy was named Male Student Athlete of the Year and Griffon women’s golfer Shi Qing Ong was named Female Student Athlete of the Year. 
The pair of Griffon golfers claimed top honors among 13 total nominees for male and female student-athlete of the year.
The awards ceremony was held at the 大象传媒 Theater in downtown St. Joseph.
