In December and January, we will launch a Wintersession, offering four high-demand courses in an online format.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The four-week courses will be offered Dec. 10-Jan. 15, with a holiday break Dec. 24-Jan. 3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The courses we will offer this year are<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CHE101 \u2013 General Chemistry<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ENG104 \u2013 College Writing and Rhetoric<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GEO100 \u2013 World Geography<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PHL230 \u2013 Ethics<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We have chosen these courses because they often represent hurdles that sometimes slow a student\u2019s progress toward their degree. In most cases, we are not able to offer enough sections in the fall or spring semesters to meet the demand. We will review this program\u2019s success in order to determine whether to provide a similar opportunity in the future. You can learn more by visiting the Wintersession <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">website<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Registration for Wintersession will take place at the same time as registration for the spring semester, starting Oct. 26.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If your student does not need to take any of these courses but would still like the opportunity to move forward with their degree, encourage them to take a look at the opportunities with the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/center-for-service\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Center for Service<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
