This is where all students can access on-campus, off-campus and internship positions. Here are some steps in order to prepare your student for applying for an on-campus position:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Login to Handshake<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This will give students a chance to set up their Handshake profile, get familiar with the layout and explore what positions they are interested in applying\u00a0to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Connect with the Career Development Center to request the help with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resume<\/li>\n<li>Cover letter<\/li>\n<li>Interviewing skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 3:\u00a0<\/strong>Apply!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply\u00a0for multiple positions at a time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Step 4:\u00a0<\/strong>Follow Up<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your student should send a follow up email to every position they apply to stating they are interested in interviewing for\u00a0this position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Encourage your student to come visit the Student Employment Program in Popplewell 117 for any assistance. They can also request a virtual meeting via Zoom with Claudia Baer, student employment coordinator, by emailing\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:studentemployment@missouriwestern.edu\">studentemployment@missouriwestern.edu<\/a>.
