The Dean of Students Office (located in Blum Union 228) works to support the health, safety, and success for all our 大象传媒 students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As we move into preparing for the spring 2022 semester, there are several great opportunities and resources available to support your student and assist them as they maximize their student experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-services\/career-development\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Career Development Center<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> continues to support the career development and readiness of our 大象传媒 Western students. Several events are planned for this semester including, but not limited to, career fairs, networking experiences, and more. Encourage your student to visit the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-services\/career-events\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Career Events<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> page to take advantage of these opportunities to support them in their career journey!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Center for Diversity &amp; Inclusion<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> will kick off the spring 2022 semester with various events to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day during the week of January 17-21. Events will include the MLK Drum Major for Justice Awards Banquet, a screening of the movie \u201cSelma,\u201d and the MLK Day of Service with the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/center-for-service\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Center for Service<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-life\/csi\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Center for Student Involvement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> will be launching Breakers at MWSU, a new selective volunteer-based group. This spring, Breakers at MWSU will be traveling to Starkville, Mississippi to assist in building houses with Habitat for Humanity of Starkville. Housing, meals, and transportation will be provided for each student. Encourage your student to reach out to Josh Clary, Director of Student Involvement, to receive the application to be a part of Breakers at MWSU.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-services\/counseling\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Counseling Center<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> continues to provide services to support the mental health and wellbeing of our 大象传媒 Western students, offering both in-person and telemental health appointments. The Counseling Center has started offering appointment reminders via e-mail and text message this semester to remind students of their upcoming appointments.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/reslife\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Housing &amp; Residence Life<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is looking forward to welcoming your student back to the residence halls as their home-away-from-home for the Spring 2022 semester.
